I was very nervous about my appointment, having been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hips at 43 years old, but from the moment I met Mr Panose I knew I was in safe hands. He explained everything to me thoroughly and had such a kind, calm manner, which put me at ease. Mr Panose did a minimally invasive total left hip replacement for me on the 1st November 23, at Gatwick Spire hospital, and it all went very smoothly. My incision scar is very neat and has healed well and it is such a relief to not be in pain anymore. Mr Panose told me the operation would change my life and he was right! I walked oddly for a long time before my operation so it’ll take time for my gait to settle down, but I won’t hesitate to ask Mr Panose to do my right hip when the time comes. I can thoroughly recommend him and am so grateful for how he has helped me.

I had a total knee replacement under Mr Panose and from the very first appointment through to being discharged he made me feel I was actually a human being and not just a number . Everything was explained to myself pre op and which put my mind at rest the staff at Gatwick Park were very attentive and happy which made my stay in hospital far more pleasurable.

I saw Mr Panose privately with respect to a non-union of previous hip fracture and subsequently he performed a total hip replacement for me. Mr Panose was always friendly, welcoming and good at clearly explaining the current status of my condition and likely prognosis. When it was clear that a total hip replacement would be required, he walked me through the pros and cons of material choice and stem length and helped me to understand what would likely work best for me as well as explaining the potential risks associated with the procedure. He was then extremely proactive and quick in arranging a theatre date for me. The team that he brought together for the procedure were all extremely friendly and helped to put any concerns that I may have had to rest. The procedure itself was as ‘painless’ as it could be and the pace of recovery since the operation has been incredible. Having had very little pain or discomfort (painkiller free) from two weeks post operation and being crutch free from four weeks, I cannot thank Mr Panose enough for the massive improvement in the quality of my life. I would highly recommend Mr Panose to anyone in need of a hip replacement.
